Elpas BabyMatch - RTLS Infant Security Solutions

Elpas BabyMatch is an Ethernet enabled RTLS Infant Protection Solution that helps hospitals prevent baby abductions and unintentional baby mismatching in maternity environments without compromising a mother's privacy with her new born baby.

BabyMatch provides continuous supervision of each baby by automatically tracking the real-time location of the infant from the time of delivery to the time of discharge.
BabyMatch permits the regular movement of mothers, staff and visitors in and out of the maternity ward, while preventing the protected infants from being removed from the ward unnoticed or without supervision. In addition to monitoring the physical whereabouts and safety of the infants, BabyMatch can log the authorized transfer of the infants throughout the hospital, preventing any illicit attempts to move infants to and from wards and treatment centers.
How BabyMatch Works
At the time of birth the infant is issued an Infant Protection Bracelet, which is placed on the baby's ankle and later can be adjusted should the baby lose weight before discharge. The tag, an Active Radio Frequency (RFID) transmitter emits real-time ID & location tracking data about the infant down to explicit bed-level precision without causing EMF interference in hospital equipment. Should an attempt occur to move the protected infant from the secured area without approval or authorized escort, the Bracelet will trigger the BabyMatch System to alert personnel of the occurring security threat.
Additionally, Elpas BabyMatch Infant Protection Solutions can be field-tailored to fit the care and security practices of any healthcare facility as well as be scaled to deliver other Elpas RTLS Safety, Security and Visibility Solutions without degradation to the original infant protection functionality.

Elpas Healthcare Positioning Tag

The Healthcare Positioning Tag is a wrist worn Active Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Infrared transmitter that is an effective cost containment and risk management tool for acute care hospitals, geriatric care clinics and long-term nursing care facilities.

The tag's onboard RF/IR dual technology transmitter emits low power RF (433MHz) and IR (800nm) messages. This data enables the real-time visibility of medical personnel or patients down to bed-level precision without EMF interference to medical equipment, which then can be used by Elpas Safety, Security and Visibility Solutions or other hospital management systems.

The tag also features a call-button for wireless emergency call functionality as well as a LF receiver (125 KHz) that enables real-time near exit detection of high-risk patients.

Made of tough, ABS thermoplastic, the Healthcare Positioning Tag is housed in an IP66 water-rated enclosure, which can be cleaned with medical grade, non-alcohol based disinfectants and is powered by one field-replaceable lithium battery.
