Job Summary

  • Technician to install, repair, upgrade, and maintain our clients’ security equipment.
  • Sound electrical and mechanical knowledge, exceptional communication skills, and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • The individual must be capable of working independently to understand the scope of work, analyze tasks, develop an action plan, and work toward project completion.
  • Be well organized, have a neat appearance, and be approachable.

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma required.
  • Previous experience as a Security technician: 2 years (Required)
  • Intermediate understanding of device networking and configuration communication protocols as they relate to IT.
  • Must pass a drug test.
  • Experience working with Security, Access Control, and Surveillance Systems
  • Functional knowledge to test, inspect and service the following security system brands; Galaxy Controls, Genetec, Bosch, and Ademco is preferred but not required.

  • Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing security and access control systems, components, etc.
  • Projects are scheduled by the service manager. The technician will also be communicating with the project manager, our sales engineers, and the customer.
  • The primary duties are in the form of field service at various customer sites in central New York.
  • Occasional office work is scheduled for bench service, assembly, and testing
  • Factory training is required to receive manufacturer’s certifications on various systems. This will involve traveling to multiple states to attend classes at company expense. This may involve air travel and hotel stays of 3 to 5 days

Key Details: 

  • $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
